The How is a detached bungalow in Patterdale, close to Ullswater and Helvellyn in the Lake District National Park. We offer self catering accommodation for 3 people in a fantastic location. The bungalow has a range of features to make your holiday comfortable and enjoyable, including a wood burning stove, free WiFi, large sofa and chair, kitchen with dishwasher, bathroom with bath and overhead shower, and a small patio garden. One well behaved pet is welcome in our dog friendly lake district cottage.
Inside
The entrance to bungalow is at the back of the house. You enter into the hallway with the main double bedroom on the right and the single bedroom on the right. The double bedroom has dual aspect windows to the side and rear. There is a bathroom with bath and overhead shower and heated towel rail.
The lounge and dining area has a large sofa and armchair to relax and unwind, and a small dining table with 2 chairs. There is a large screen TV with freeview and a woodburning stove. There are floor to ceiling patio doors in the living room overlooking the front garden where we have bird feeders to attract a huge range of local wildlife. The windows also offer magnificent views towards Place Fell over Goldrill Beck. There is also free Broadband WiFi.
The compact kitchen has everything you’d expect from a modern kitchen, including an oven with electric hobs and grill, microwave, toaster and kettle. There is also a compact dishwasher and fridge with ice compartment. There is an additional large upright fridge freezer and washing machine in the outhouse.
Outside
At the front of the bungalow there is a drive with plenty of space for parking the car. There is also a small grass area and border beds with a bird bath and bird feeders. At the back of the bungalow there is a small patio with further seating. There is also a small outhouse with a fridge/freezer and washing machine. The garden is shaded on one side by trees and is a haven for wildlife including many types of bird, red and grey squirrels, and the occasional passing badger if they think they’ll get lucky with the bins!
